Traveling to Hawai'i for the first time in 2012, I have returned twice more, the last time as an artist in residence at the Honolulu Museum of Art. In discovering the island I was filled with a sense of Aloha 'aina, love of the land. I then came to the conclusion to represent the people of Hawai'i that are more grounded in the islands' land beyond tourism. Be it military or locals, I want to investigate the breadth of the islands through the faces of locals.

This is a long-term project.
